For owner-managed businesses
That figure isn't a future projection. It's what current AI can already do, as of February 2026. The technical case isn't the hard part. The hard part is the human one. And the commercial one. Making it fit with the team you've built around you. Putting it to work without breaking what's already working. Governing it sensibly when the rules haven't been fully written yet. That's where I come in.
You've built something that works. The team is good, the business is making money. But you can feel where it's heavy. Too much of your team's time is going on low-value work. Too many decisions land back on your desk. And every push for growth seems to bring matching costs with it.
There's a reason for that. It's how most owner-managed businesses get built. The business gets shaped around you being present, because at the start it has to be. The team learns to firefight and work to the edges, because at the start they have to. Eventually it all becomes predictable and repeatable, but the business is never rebuilt around what's now working.
It's a structural problem. People, processes, and the technology that supports both. And structural problems have structural solutions.
I'm Dave Heath. I've spent my career inside business at every level. Building my own from scratch. Working with founders and owners to grow and fix theirs. Advising at boards. And for the last few years, helping businesses implement AI in ways that actually change how they operate and what's possible for the people running them.
That range matters. I'm not coming at this from one angle. I understand the founder experience because I've lived it. I understand business strategy because I've applied it. And I understand AI because I've studied it formally and delivered it practically.
I hold various IBM certifications in AI strategy and business adoption. I'm currently the Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the University of Dundee, a role awarded by the Royal Society. I've been recognised by the Royal Academy of Engineering and Royal Society of Edinburgh for my contributions in entrepreneurship.
I don't separate the technology from the business. In my experience, you can't.
